Panic!
Arrrrggghhhh!

Oh my god!

My email account has lost all my saved email addresses! It's the only one of my email accounts that has everyone and anyone i'm really close to in it. It's also my oldest account, i've had it for over 10 years. That's 10 years of email addresses i've lost, not including my dad who changes his practically every week!

I'm freaking out now. Well, on the inside. There's definately angry screaming going on in my head. Normally i'm so laid back about stuff but this has me livid.

Cirque du Soleil
My parent's got me a joint present for my birthday this year - a surprise trip to go see Cirque du Soleil at The Trafford Centre in Manchester. I adore Cirque, so this really was the perfect present.

The show - Varekai - my 4th Cirque performance, while not my favourite ever certainly captured me with its beautiful costumes and enchanting story. It never ceases to amaze me, the capabilities of the human body, it's beautiful and terrifying. As always with Cirque, the acrobatics make you gape with awe, and sometimes horrific fascination (my mother is rather disgusted with contortionists.)

Cirque fascinates me. I love the orginality and creativity of it. Everything is always so beautiful and alive. I look forward to (hopefully) seeing more performances in the future.

Happy New Year!
A very Happy New Year to all!

Welcome 2010!

A brand new decade. If 2000 - 2009 was the noughties, then what will this decade be called? The teenies? I wonder...

Anyway, hope everyone has a good New Year. I hope I do too. Personally I hate January, can't explain it, just do. Maybe 'cause it always seems so damn long

Merry Christmas
First of all i'd just like to say a big YAY! for us having a white christmas this year. We've had snow all week which is rare, but having snow over Christmas is just... DUDE!

So just a quick Seasons Greetings for everyone before I go to sleep. Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a good one and have loads of fun.

To quote 'The Night Before Christmas'....

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."

Sims 3
Got the Sims 3 last week and have been glued to my computer ever since! I've always loved the Sims and have been playing it since it came out, so I obviously was gonna get Sims 3.

I love it!

My favourite aspects are the patterns, I love matching my sims clothes to their houses interior and stuff, plus the colour options - I can make everything purple. I love it! I'm also loving the personality traits. Oh! The evil trait - I adore this one. I love how certain options have the word 'evil' in front of them, like 'wash hands with evil soap' or 'take evil slumber' - stuff like that.

Stuff that annoys me - they sleep for so damn long! I miss all my hacks/mods that I use for Sims 2. I'm sure, down the line, someone will make similar mods for Sims 3 but until then i'll have to do it the hard way.

I'm going to go away now and play more Sims 3!

If you wanna see the stuff i've created for Sims 3 you can visit my page HERE

Andy Hallett
Oh my god I can't believe Andy is dead.

I knew he'd been sick for a long time. I remember the last time I met him he wasn't well but in true Andy spirit he was singing and dancing. He was such a lovely guy.

I think one of my favourite Andy moments was him in full Lorne get up and me having my picture taken with him like that! It was great, he was in character and everything!

I will miss him.

Happy Birthday to me!
So, today is my birthday!

I'm 28 today, I don't feel any older. I'm close to 30 now, which is weird. Aging doesn't really bother me all that much, what really freaks me out is how quickly time is passing.

Merry Christmas

So, tomorrow is Christmas Day.

Why is it that even though we know when Christmas is, we are always surprised when it arrives?

This year has been the most disorganised Christmas period for me, ever. Last-minute shopping, I only wrapped everything yesterday! Normally i'm really organised when it comes to this time of year.

Christmas is more fun when you're a kid, the magic fades as you get older. Still, my mum helps keep the festive spirit going talking about stockings and Santa, we both enjoy the game.

It's getting late, i'd better get to bed. I don't want to miss Santa!

Merry Christmas!

Judge's Barry and Barney punishment
Tuesday, November 25 01:41 pm

A US judge has been hailing his "horrible punishment" for youngsters who continually play their music too loud.

Judge Paul Sacco, in Fort Lupton, Colorado, makes teen noise polluters sit in a locked room and listen to the Barry Manilow hit Copacabana for a whole hour at full volume.
They are also made to sit through records by Dolly Parton, Karen Carpenter and, er, Barney the Dinosaur.

Judge Sacco says it has helped cut the number of repeat offenders in the town.

He said: "When you have a person playing rap at extreme volumes all over the city, and they have to sit down and listen for an hour to Barry Manilow, it's horrible punishment."

Teenager Reuben Fuentes said: "You can't fall asleep."

******************

This just totally reminds me of Angel and The Addams Family Values!!!!!

Angel because I still can't hear Mandy without giggling. And The Addams Family Values because of that bit when Wednesday and Pugsley are trapped in that hut, forced to watch Disney and 'happy' movies all day!

Happy Halloween!
I love Halloween! It's one of my favourite times of the year.

I used to do the whole dressing up in costumes and going out thing, nowadays I mainly stay in and watch horror movies.

My favourite Halloween tradition is watching as many vampire movies as I can get through in one night. I do love my vamps!

Maybe i'll play my Sims 2 and make lots of hot vampire sims!

***************

So I have a question (or several, actually)....

What's everybody's favourite Halloween memory?

Do you have a Halloween tradition?

What's your favourite horror movie?

Do you have a signature Halloween costume?

************

Fangs for the memories.... It's been a scream!

Mwahahahaha!

Happy Halloween!

Veela Challenge
So i've got this little book in which I keep all my Harry Potter challenge ideas, I keep on adding to it yet I never seem to get round to writing them out.

Until today! I'm on a challenge typing mission. This is the first one. I'll be posting them all seperately. See how many I can get done.

Superstitions
I don't really consider myself a superstitious person, I don't have any of those weird little rituals that I have to do because not doing them would be bad luck. Mind you, i've never broken a mirror either, so who is to say it doesn't bring you bad luck?

Mind you, i'm sure most of it is psychological; by believing it to be true, you make it so.

My mother is a little superstitious. She'll do the common ones like the salt over the shoulder one, or the not putting shoes on the table one. Then there's the refusing to cut her nails on a Sunday one, I have no idea where that one comes from.

I guess some superstitions are just something that *everyone* knows, so you just do them, without even stopping to think why.

Children believe in everything. Those silly little rhymes, mini urban legends and superstitions that you'll find in every playground.

"Stand on a crack and you'll fall and break your back"

You might not believe it's true but you follow the rules, do what you must to survive, because you never know, it might *just* be true.

Better safe than sorry.

As a child you actually believe what you're told. It's only as you get older that you learn to lie from your parents and friends. And then, i'm sure, some kids find great pleasure in educating younger children with these 'harmless' little lies, urban legends and superstitions in order to see the fright and awe on their little faces.

Don't deny it, we've all done it.

And how old were you when you stopped looking around for magpies? Still remember that rhyme?
